  8. The outskirts of the city are full of greenery, that you can escape to if you need the woods.
  9. It has a variety of food options to choose from. You won’t go hungry!

THE DOWNSIDE

  1. The apartments can be illegal and without elevator if thorough research is not done. They also don’t look well-finished.
  2. If you want to venture outside Taipei, you will have a hard time looking for public transport. You need to plan your weekends wisely.
  3. Direct flights to and from Taipei are expensive and infrequent.
  4. If you don’t like the monsoon, you won’t like Taipei. It rains a lot there.
  5. Although it is not as polluted as other countries, Taipei has pollution problems. So if you want to breathe clean air, this is not where you want to be.
  6. Not everyone is a fan of Taipei’s education system. Some might feel it is too burdensome.
