Your Guide To Moving A Fish Tank
We know you love your cute little fishes and would love to take them along when you move. Which is why 21st Century Relocations has curated a step-wise guide to moving a fish tank. Here goes.
Step 1: Plan everything first.
First and foremost, imagine the process. Estimate the time that it will take from your current home to your new home. How many fishes do you have to transport? What are the props you would need? Be quick in doing what you do.
Step 2: Take your fish out of the fish tank.
You can transfer your fishes into bags made of plastic that have never been used before. But make sure that the water in these bags is the same as that in the fish tank, otherwise, your fishes might go into shock. Do the same for any live sand. Now keep these bags safely away, inside another container that won’t break on a fall.
Step 3: Clean and dismantle the fish tank.
Once your fishes, live sand or any other creatures in your tank are out, clean the tank and drain it. Then detach the water pumps, water filters, heaters or anything else and pack them with the tank. Take professional help here for safe packing to prevent breakage.
Step 4: Transport the fishes with you and keep checking for spillage.
We all know what happens to a fish without water. Keep them safe and ensure they travel with you. Try to keep the temperature at a balanced level. Not too hot, not too cold.
Step 5: Once you reach, repeat the process in reverse.
Set up the fish tank, fill it up with water (saltwater or freshwater). Attach all the other equipment. Then release your fishes into the tank. Keep a close watch to ensure your fishes survive, especially for the first few days.
